During these years, SNEP students explore the four tenets of Discipline Based Art Education: Art Production, Art Criticism, Art History, and Aesthetics. While learning skills such as color theory, construction technique, media, elements of art and design, and "art language", students acquire a base of art knowledge which serves as a foundation for the more sophistocated projects they will undertake in Middle School art.
